26.Jul.2005 West's Policies Must Change
Blair imported Mideast violence to Britain. - by Eric Margolis
Murdering civilians in London, New York or Tel Aviv is a heinous crime.

But to many people around the globe, so was the trumped-up invasion of Iraq that violated every norm of international law, the ongoing U.S. occupation of Afghanistan + the agony of Palestine.

Deporting or jailing loudmouth radical Muslim clerics and closing madrassas won't stop the dangerous jihadist movement. Neither will blaming Islam or Pakistan. Terrorist violence is the effect, not the cause. Continue .

BUSH-NAZI LINK CONFIRMED

Documents in USA National Archives Prove George W. Bush [BGW968]'s Grandfather Bush [BPS917] Traded with Nazis - Even After Pearl Harbor by John Buchanan (Exclusive to the New Hampshire Gazette)

WASHINGTON -

After 60 years of inattention

and even denial

by the U.S. media,

newly-uncovered government documents in The National Archives + Library of Congress reveal that -from – until-

00.000.1926-00.000.1942 Prescott Bush [BPS917] - grandfather of President George W. Bush [BGW968] - served as a business partner of + USA banking operative for the financial architect of the Nazi war machine

when USA Congress took aggressive action against Bush [BPS917] + his "enemy national" partners.

The documents also show that Bush [BPS917] + his colleagues, according to reports from the U.S. Department of the Treasury,

tried to conceal their financial alliance with German steel + coal baron industrialist Fritz Thyssen who,

00.000.1920 -beginning in the mid-s-, personally funded Adolf Hitler's rise to power by the subversion of democratic principle + German law.

Furthermore, the declassified records demonstrate that Bush [BPS917] + his associates, who included E. Roland Harriman [HRE917] -younger brother of USA icon W. Averell Harriman [HWA91-] + Walker,George Herbert President Bush [BGW968] s maternal great-grandfather,

continued their dealings with the German industrial tycoon for nearly a year after the U.S. entered the war.

No Story ?

For six decades these historical facts have gone unreported by the mainstream U.S. media.

The essential facts have appeared on the Internet + in relatively obscure books, but were dismissed by the media + Bush family as undocumented diatribes.

This story has also escaped the attention of "official" Bush biographers, Presidential historians + publishers of U.S. history books covering WWII. + its aftermath.

USA White House did not respond to phone calls seeking comment.

The Summer of '42“ - The unraveling of the web of Bush [BPS917] -Harriman [HWA91-]-Thyssen U.S. enterprises,

all of which operated out of the same suite of offices at 39 Broadway in New York under the supervision of Prescott Bush [BPS917] ,

31.Jul.1941 began with a story that ran simultaneously in the New York Herald-Tribune + Washington Post.

31.Jul.1941 -By then for nearly eight months- the U.S. had been at war with Germany.

"Hitler's Angel Has $3 Million in U.S. Bank," declared the front-page Herald-Tribune headline.

The lead paragraph characterized Fritz Thyssen as "Adolf Hitler's original patron a decade ago."

00.Oct.1923 -since-In fact, Fritz Thyssen, the steel + coal magnate had aggressively supported and funded Hitler , according to Thyssen's autobiography, “I Paid Hitler”.

In that book, Thyssen also acknowledges his direct personal relationships with Adolf Hitler + Joseph Goebbels + Rudolf Hess.

The Herald-Tribune also cited unnamed sources who suggested Thyssen's U.S. "nest egg" in fact belonged to "Nazi bigwigs" including Goebbels, Hermann Goering, Heinrich Himmler, or even Hitler himself.

Business is Business

00.000.1924 The "bank," founded by W. Averell Harriman on behalf of Thyssen + his Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart N.V. of Holland, was Union Banking Corporation (UBC) of New York City.

According to government documents, it was in reality a clearing house for a number of Thyssen-controlled enterprises and assets, including as many as a dozen individual businesses.

UBC also bought and shipped overseas gold, steel, coal + U.S. Treasury bonds.

The company's activities were administered for Thyssen by a Netherlands-born, naturalized U.S. citizen named Cornelis Lievense, who served as president of UBC.

Roland Harriman was chairman and Prescott Bush a managing director.

The Herald-Tribune article did not identify Bush or Harriman as executives of UBC, or Brown Brothers Harriman, in which they were partners, as UBC's private banker.

A confidential FBI memo from that period suggested, without naming the Bush + Harriman families, that politically prominent individuals were about to come under official U.S. government scrutiny as Hitler's plunder of Europe continued unabated.

After the "Hitler's Angel" article was published Bush and Harriman made no attempts to divest themselves of the controversial Thyssen financial alliance, nor did they challenge the newspaper report that UBC was, in fact, a de facto Nazi front organization in the U.S. Instead, the government documents show, Bush + his partners increased their subterfuge to try to conceal the true nature + ownership of their various businesses, particularly after the U.S. entered WWII.

The documents also disclose that Cornelis Lievense, Thyssen's personal appointee to oversee U.S. matters for his Rotterdam-based Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart N.V., via UBC for nearly two decades, repeatedly denied to U.S. government investigators any knowledge of the ownership of the Netherlands bank or the role of Thyssen in it.

Brown Brothers Harriman sent letters to the government seeking reconsideration of the seizures by using false information.

UBC s original group of business associates included George Herbert Walker, President Bush's maternal great-grandfather, who had a relationship with the Harriman family that began in 00.000.1919 .

00.000.1922 Walker + W. Averell Harriman traveled to Berlin to set up the German branch of their banking + investment operations, which were largely based on critical war resources such as steel + coal.

The Walker-Harriman-created German industrial alliance also included partnership with another German titan who supported Hitler's rise, Friedrich Flick, who partnered with Thyssen in the German Steel Trust that forged the Nazi war machine.

For his role in using slave labor + his own steel, coal + arms resources to build Hitler's war effort, Flick was convicted at the Nuremberg trials + sentenced to prison.

The Family Business

00.000.1926 -after Prescott Bush had married Walker's daughter, Dorothy, Walker brought Bush in as a vice president of the private banking + investment firm of W.A. Harriman & Co., also located in New York.

Bush became a partner in the firm that later became Brown Brothers Harriman + the largest private investment bank in the world.

Eventually, Bush became a director of + stockholder in UBC.

However, the government documents note that Bush + Harriman + Lievense + the other UBC stockholders were in fact "nominees," or phantom shareholders, for Thyssen + his Holland bank, meaning that they acted at the direct behest of their German client.

20.Oct.1942 -Seized On- under authority of the Trading with the Enemy Act, the U.S. Congress seized UBC + liquidated its assets after WWII.

The seizure is confirmed by Vesting Order No. 248 in the U.S. Office of the Alien Property Custodian + signed by U.S. Alien Property Custodian Leo T. Crowley.

00.Aug.1942 -under the same authority, Congress had seized the first of the Bush-Harriman-managed Thyssen entities, Hamburg-American Line, under Vesting Order No. 126, also signed by Crowley.

Eight days after the seizure of UBC, Congress invoked the Trading with the Enemy Act again to take control of two more Bush-Harriman-Thyssen businesses Holland-American Trading Corp. (Vesting Order No. 26 + Seamless Steel Equipment Corp. (Vesting Order No. 25.

The documents from the Archives also show that

00.000.1931-00.000.1933 the Bushes + Harrimans shipped valuable U.S. assets, including gold + coal + steel + U.S. Treasury bonds, to their foreign clients overseas, as Hitler engineered his rise to power.

Still No Story ?

00.000.1942 -Since- the information has not appeared in any U.S. news coverage of any Bush political campaign, nor has it been included in any of the major Bush family biographies.

It was, however, covered extensively in George H.W. Bush : The Unauthorized Biography, by Webster Tarpley and Anton Chaitkin.

00.000.1940 -in the s- Chaitkin's father served as an attorney for some of the victims of the Bush-Harriman-Thyssen businesses.

The book gave a detailed, accurate accounting of the Bush family's long Nazi affiliation, but no mainstream U.S. media entity reported on or even investigated the allegations, despite careful documentation by the authors. Major booksellers declined to distribute the book, which was dismissed by Bush supporters as biased + untrue.

Its authors struggled even to be reviewed in reputable newspapers.

That the book was published by Lyndon LaRouche's organization undoubtedly made it easier to dismiss, but does not change the facts.

The essence of the story has been posted for years on various Internet sites, including BuzzFlash.com + TakeBackTheMedia.com, but no online media seem to have independently confirmed it.

00.000.1990 -In the s- former U.S. Department of Justice Nazi war crimes prosecutor John Loftus, now honorary president of the Florida Holocaust Museum, wrote a book + launched a web site (https://www.john-loftus.com/) which did breakthrough reporting, including establishing the link between Prescott Bush , Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation and forced labor at Auschwitz. Although the widely-respected Loftus established a successful international speaking career with his information, no U.S. newspaper or major TV news program acknowledged his decade of work, nor did he ever see many of the recently released documents. Meanwhile, the mainstream media have apparently made no attempt since World War II to either verify or disprove the allegations of Nazi collaboration against the Bush family. Instead, they have attempted to dismiss or discredit such Internet sites or "unauthorized" books without any journalistic inquiry or research into their veracity. Loyal Defenders The National Review ran an essay on September 1 by their White House correspondent Byron York, entitled "Annals of Bush-Hating." It begins mockingly : "Are you aware of the murderous history of George W. Bush - indeed, of the entire Bush family ? Are you aware of the president's Nazi sympathies ? His crimes against humanity ?

And do you know, by the way, that George W. Bush is a certifiable moron ?" York goes on to discredit the "Bush is a moron" IQ hoax, but fails to disprove the Nazi connection.

The more liberal Boston Globe ran a column September 29 by Reason magazine's Cathy Young in which she referred to "Bush-o-phobes on the Internet" who "repeat preposterous claims about the Bush family's alleged Nazi connections." Poles Tackle the Topic Newsweek Polska, the magazine's Polish edition, published a short piece on the "Bush Nazi past" in its 05.Mar.2003 edition.

The item reported that "the Bush family reaped rewards from the forced-labor prisoners in the Auschwitz concentration camp," according to a copyrighted English-language translation from Scoop Media (https://www.scoop.co.nz/). The story also reported the seizure of the various Bush-Harriman-Thyssen businesses.

Still Not Interested

Major U.S. media outlets, including

ABC News + NBC News + CNN + The New York Times + Washington Post + Washington Times + Los Angeles Times + Miami Herald + as well as Knight-Ridder Newspapers,

have repeatedly declined to investigate the story

when information regarding discovery of the documents was presented to them

29.Aug.2003 -Friday- beginning- Newsweek U.S. correspondent Michael Isikoff, famous for his reporting of big scoops during the Clinton-Lewinsky sexual affair of the 1990s, declined twice to accept an exclusive story based on the documents from the archives.

Aftermath

00.000.1952 Prescott Bush [BPS917] was elected to the U.S. Senate, with no press accounts about his well-concealed Nazi past.

There is no record of any U.S. press coverage of the Bush-Nazi connection during any political campaigns conducted by George Herbert Walker Bush or Jeb Bush or George W. Bush,

with the exception of a brief mention in an unrelated story in the Sarasota Herald Tribune in 00.Nov.2000 +

a brief but inaccurate account in The Boston Globe 00.000.2001 .

26.Jul.2005 ... the larger question should be "What does the President know... in general ?")
You'll also want to read the ThinkProgress column
here. Very likely, Card warned Bush (who has retained private counsel) during that twelve hour gap. Bush allegedly spoke to Rove early on.
As New York Times colunist
Richard Stevenson notes:
Allan Lichtman, a presidential historian at American University in Washington, said the lesson of recent history, for example in the Iran-Contra case under President Ronald Reagan, is that presidents tend to know more than it might first appear about what is going on within the White House.
"My presumption in presidential politics is that the president always knows," Lichtman said. "But there are degrees of knowing. Reagan said, keep the contras together body + soul.

Did he know exactly what Oliver North was doing?

No, it doesn't mean he knew what every subordinate is doing." More:
But Bush's political opponents say the president is in a box.

In their view, either Rove + Libby kept the president in the dark about their actions, making them appear evasive at a time when Bush was demanding that his staff cooperate fully with the investigation, or Rove + Libby had told the president + he was not forthcoming in his public statements about his knowledge of their roles.
"We know that Karl Rove, through Scott McClellan, did not tell Americans the truth," said Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill. + a former top aide in the Clinton White House. "What's important now is what Karl Rove told the president. Was it the truth, or was it what he told Scott McClellan?" The even more important point is: Did Bush provably lie at any point?
Running for Cover :
This New York Times piece indicates that Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Pat Roberts, (R-Kansas) still does not understand what NOC means, or that the Agee law refers to anyone who has functioned in a cladestine capacity for CIA at any time during the previous five years. URL: https://cannonfire.blogspot.com/
26.Jul.2005 Suffice it to say that the revelation of a 12-hour gap is one factor that now makes this scandal a matter of "What did the President know and when did he know it?" That gap refers to the window between the time Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez unofficially told White House Chief of Staff Andy Card about the Plame Leak Investigation + the next day -- 8:30pm on Sep 12, 2003 -- when he gave official word.
Lots of mischief can occur in twelve hours. Lots of shredded and burnt documents. Lots of swapped-out hard drives. Destroying that material became illegal the moment Gonzalez gave official notice of the investigation.
The best discussion of this and related matters may well be found on good old Brad Friedman's blog,
here and here).

25.Jul.2005 THE MOST IMPORTANT STORY OF OUR TIME: Cheney makes plans to nuke Iran If you are the sort of person who passes articles to friends, show 'em this one.
The print edition of the American Conservative includes a
startling passage -- one which my readers will find evocative and horrifying. According to the article, Dick Cheney has personally instructed the Pentagon...
(Wait. Let's stop right there and ponder for a moment. Can a veep command the Pentagon to do anything ? Apparently so! And here, you always thought the President was the Commander in Chief...)
Back to our story: Dick Cheney has personally instructed the Pentagon to draw up plans to nuke Iran immediately after the next terror attack .

And we all know that such an attack is inevitable.
Iran will fry even if that nation has nothing to do with the terrorism!
USA Pentagon, acting under instructions from Vice President Dick Cheney's office, has tasked the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) with drawing up a contingency plan to be employed in response to another 11.Sep.2001 9/11-type terrorist attack on the USA.

The plan includes a large-scale air assault on Iran employing both conventional + tactical nuclear weapons.

Within Iran there are more than 450 major strategic targets, including numerous suspected nuclear-weapons-program development sites.

Many of the targets are hardened or are deep underground and could not be taken out by conventional weapons, hence the nuclear option.

As in the case of Iraq, the response is not conditional on Iran actually being involved in the act of terrorism directed against the USA.

Several senior Air Force officers involved in the planning are reportedly appalled at the implications of what they are doing--that Iran is being set up for an unprovoked nuclear attack--but no one is prepared to damage his career by posing any objections.

The lives of untold millions may be saved if those officers develop a conscience and go public.
We need to get the Democratic Party Leadership interested in this story. And the rank-and-file. And the media.
Of course, right-wing propagandists have tried to convince us that Mr. and Mrs. Average Iranian really, really love America, deep in their hearts.

That, presumably, is why Dick Cheney wants to turn them into glowing green vapor stew, even if they are innocent of any crime against us. URL: https://cannonfire.blogspot.com/

25.Jul.2005 Rogues gallery From Digby: - Rogue Element
The long awaited first installment of the Washington Monthly article by
Marshall + Rozen + Glastris is online.

It is looking more and more as if we have another rogue element that's been working out of DOD + I have to assume, some part of the White House.

The many interconnecting webs seem to lead to + through the forged Niger documents, Chalabi, "Clean Break" + Valerie Plame.

It's got the earmarks of a John LeCarre novel + if it weren't so incredibly dangerous it would be amusing.
The article is entitled "Iran Contra II" + that is apt for more reasons than the recurring roles of Mr Ghorbanifar + Mr Ledeen.

Once again we see a marked "impatience" with the unfortunately cumbersome working of democratic government.

That this may have happened for the second time in twenty years featuring many of the same people is a pretty clear indication that letting bygones be bygones will not do when dealing with this sort of traitorous, undemocratic behavior.

The stakes are a hell of a lot higher now that they ae crashing airplanes into NYC skyscrapers.

If there is an immediate lesson to be gleaned by the people, perhaps the simplest is that when you have a stupid + easily manipulated man at the head of the government, his minions + courtiers spend all their time jockeying for position + finding shortcuts to get their way.

If Kerry happens to win he really must bite the bullet + see that this is investigated + people are brought up on charges.

It's completely unbelievable that these same players came back into government + ran their game all over again. Unbelievable. [...] Entire post. Read it. URL: https://alternateworlds.blogspot.com/2004_09_01_alternateworlds_archive.html

Why mention this old film in a political blog?
In part, because TW&TL was so predictive. The conflict between USA imperialism and Islamic nationalism has become the conflict of our time.

Connery's jihadist holy man now seems a model for Osama Bin Laden -- and don't dismiss the possibility that Osama saw this film, which was popular among Mulsims.

(I hope readers will forego the usual oh-so-clever comments about Connery's brogue.

Who else could have played this role?) Moreover, the character of the half-mad Captain Jerome seems to prefigure Ollie North.

Only a (semi-)conservative film-maker could have gotten away with a movie glorifying a terrorist while disdaining the corrupt puppets who run too many Islamic lands.
The film also maintains relevance for its strange attitude toward history - toward reality itself.URL:

Juli verwickelt gewesen sei.
Die Ermittlungen laufen weiter auf Hochtouren.

Die Polizei durchsuchte heute ein Gebäude im Süden Londons.

Festnahmen habe es bei dieser Razzia nicht gegeben;

Japan passes controversial missile bill: Japan's parliament has passed legislation giving the defence chief the authority to shoot down incoming missiles without approval from the prime minister or cabinet.

23.Jul.2005 Bush administration to keep control of internet's central computers : The Bush administration has decided to retain control over the principal computers which control internet traffic in a move likely to prompt global opposition, it was claimed yesterday.

21.Jul.2005 Iraq: The War We Are Not Being Shown: It’s like a pair of blinders has been removed and I’m suddenly seeing for myself what I’ve long known to be the case: just how sanitized a version of the war the USA mainstream media are delivering + how little of even this cleaned-up coverage we get.

23.Jul.2005 Judge Dread : Four days after he affirmed Bush's autocratic powers, Roberts was duly awarded with a nomination to the Supreme Court. Now he will be sitting in final judgment on this case - and any other challenges to Bush's peremptory commands. This is what is known, in the tyrant trade, as "a safe pair of hands."

23.Jul.2005 Somebody is lying! : Rove, Libby Accounts in CIA Case Differ With Those of Reporters : Two top White House aides have given accounts to a special prosecutor about how reporters first told them the identity of a CIA agent that are at odds with what the reporters have said, according to people familiar with the case.

23.Jul.2005 Bush aides worked on damage control at time of CIA leak : They helped prepare response to criticism from agent's husband over nuclear allegation

23.Jul.2005 The Guardian profile: Karl Rove : For the first time in 32 years, he has been caught + his survival now depends on the gratitude of his partner and protege in the White House.

23.Jul.2005 Does US care about Niger now?: To almost the complete silence of the USA, Niger, one of the world's poorest nations, was hit last year by natural weapons of mass destruction -- locusts and drought.

23.Jul.2005 Washington Secures Long-Sought Hemispheric Outpost : A sense of outrage and concern has flared up from neighboring countries. With the facility having a capacity to hold 16,000 troops and its proximity to the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia, Paraguay’s South American neighbors are questioning Washington’s intentions

23.Jul.2005 White House threatens veto on detainee policies: The White House on Thursday threatened to veto a massive Senate bill for $442 billion in next year's defense programs if it moves to regulate the Pentagon's treatment of detainees or sets up a commission to investigate operations at Guantanamo Bay prison and elsewhere.

23.Jul.2005 Legal expert says Hicks has slim prospects of receiving fair hearing: As Australian Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks prepares to face a USA military commission, there are new concerns today about the process he'll be subjected to.

23.Jul.2005 Patriot Act renewed and toughened : Republicans repeatedly argued throughout the 11 hour debate that the latest explosions in London showed how urgent and important it was to renew the law.

23.Jul.2005 Patriot Act : How Did Your US Representative Vote?

23.Jul.2005 How the UN won the war : The history told about the defeat of Nazism and the founding of the United Nations in the 1940s has become distorted. A false view of the past is being used today to shape how we think about our future. The military power of the victorious wartime allies is offered as a model for running the world

23.Jul.2005 Syria accuses US forces of killing two Syrian security guards: Damascus said that its forces on the border with Iraq are often exposed to fire by the USA army and the Iraqi forces, adding that this resulted in killing two of those guards at the hands of the USA soldiers.

23.Jul.2005 Experts offer pessimistic outlooks on Iraq:

this week, During more than seven hours of testimony a Senate committee heard that Iraq is in a low-grade civil war, that there are no additional USA or allied troops to help.

23.Jul.2005 What Is the Plan If There's Another 9/11?: According to Philip Giraldi, writing in the new issue of the American Conservative, it's to nuke Iran:

23.Jul.2005 London: Suspect Bomber Shot Dead : Eyewitnesses said a group of 10-15 police officers chased the young Asian man onto a train and then drilled five shots into him at pointblank range.

23.Jul.2005 Man shot dead by police on London Tube : They pushed him to the floor, bundled on top of him and unloaded five shots into him

23.Jul.2005 London police arrest man in connection with attempted bombings : It was unclear if Friday's arrest was related to the earlier police shooting of a man at a London Underground station in Stockwell.

23.Jul.2005 'Shoot-to-kill' Muslim fears : The Muslim Council of Britain called on police to explain why an Asian man - a ''suspected suicide bomber'' - was shot dead Friday at Stockwell station in south London.

23.Jul.2005 " Al-Qaeda" claims latest London bombings : "Our strikes in the heart of the UK infidel capital are nothing more than a message to all European governments that we shall not relent until all infidel forces quit Iraq," the group known as the Brigades of Abu Hafs al-Masri said.

23.Jul.2005 William Blum: London: Another Casualty of the War on Terror : How can you stop subway and bus bombs? Check every passenger throughout the day, every day, forever? X-ray all bags and backpacks at Times Square during the rush hour? Whether we like it or not, we must admit that Terror is a message and we better learn to listen to it with as unindoctrinated a mind as we can summon from our depths.

23.Jul.2005 Ignoring the Intelligence: How New Labour Helped Bring Terror to London : The least that citizens can expect of their government is that it will not actively pursue policies that harm them, or place them in harm's way. Any failure to honour this duty of care renders a government unfit to hold office in the most basic + fundamental sense.

23.Jul.2005 Ex-CIA Officers Rip Bush Over Rove Leak: USA Former intelligence officers criticized President Bush on Friday for not disciplining Karl Rove in connection with the leak of the name of a CIA officer, saying Bush's lack of action has jeopardized national security.

23.Jul.2005 Tariq Ali: The War Comes Home : It is time for Blair to go. He took a calculated risk when he decided to back Bush and US foreign policy. He proclaimed proudly that in order to defeat Saddam Hussein a 'blood price would have to be paid.' It is being paid by tens of thousands of Iraqi dead and now by innocent Londoners.

23.Jul.2005 Back to you, Mr Blair : By putting the onus on Muslims to defeat terror, the prime minister absolves himself of responsibility.

23.Jul.2005 Gilad Atzmon: Blair's "Evil Ideology": We know that Blair lied to us before and during the war, we know that all the official commissions of enquiries were nothing more than to provide a service of whitewashing.

23.Jul.2005 Resort To Fear by Noam Chomsky
The resort to fear by systems of power to discipline the domestic population has left a long and terrible trail of bloodshed and suffering which we ignore at our peril. Recent history provides many shocking illustrations.

23.Jul.2005 Turki day: Will an Osama associate represent Saudi Arabia in D.C.? If you saw Fahrenheit 911, you'll recall the sight of former Saudi ambassador Prince Bandar -- "Bandar Bush" -- hobnobbing with our current prez and his dad. Bandar has been "axed" to leave. The Saudis replaced him with Turki al Faisal, the former head of Istakhbarat al Amiyyah , otherwise known as the Saudi version of the CIA.
Turki used to be Saudi Arabia's liaison man to a fellow named Osama Bin Laden. Interestingly, Turki al Faisal quit his post as intel chieftain only ten days before the attack on America. Some reports say he was removed following pressure from the USA.
The private lawsuit filed on behalf of the 911 families named Prince Turki as an ally of Al Qaida -- a charge he has always denied. A judge in the case ruled that Prince Turki had immunity; his name was therefore dropped.
The uncle of Turki al Faisal, interestingly enough, was Kamal Adham -- a major player in the BCCI scandal. The crooked BCCI bank (which specialized in money laundering and other unsavory activities) intertwined with the CIA, radical Islamists + the Bush family.
Turki al Faisal defends his dealings with Osama in
this interview with UK report Con Coughlin. Some readers may find this choice of interviewers odd, since Coughlin has, in the past, played the role of a UK intelligence asset.
Perversely enough, Reverend Moon's Washington Times praises Turki as someone who "has long been involved in his country's efforts to combat al Qaeda." This, despite the printed accounts of his early-90s collusion with Osama Bin Laden in a plot to change the government of Yemen. The Moonie Times analysis also contradicts the allegations printed
here about Turki al Faisal and the possible funding of Al Qaida.
The above link will take you to a secondary source which quotes a piece titled "The Politics of Three -- Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Israel" by a German writer named Paul W. Rasche. Unfortunately, the original article seems to have been removed from the internet + now maintains on online existence only in quotation.
In brief, Raschke states that Turki al Faisal heads (or headed) the Faisal Islamic Bank of Saudi Arabia -- which, according to Raschke, had subterranean connections to the world of Osama Bin Laden + to the bank most closely associated with Al Qaida, Al Taqwa:
The president of the Al Taqwa Bank Group is Youssef Mustapha Nada, naturalized Italian + a member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and Jamaa-al-Islamiya, which is directly allied with Al Qaeda through Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, said by some intelligence sources to be the brains behind bin Laden. When the Bahamas closed Al Taqwa Bank Ltd. early this year, Swiss authorities required a name change in Al Taqwa Bank, which then became registered in Switzerland as Nada Management Organization SA. It is the same Al Taqwa Bank. More:
00.000.1970 Youssef Nada moved to Saudi Arabia and, with help from the Muslim Brotherhood, established contact with members of the Saudi Royal family + founded a construction company in Riyadh, much the same as the Bin Laden family. He remained active in Riyadh + soon founded the first Islamic bank in Egypt, the Faisal Bank. More:
The Faisal Islamic Bank of Saudi Arabia is the head bank of a number of affiliated Islamic Banks under that name across the Islamic world from Egypt to Pakistan to the Emirates and Malaysia. The head of Faisal Islamic Bank of Saudi Arabia is former Saudi Intelligence Chief, Turki al-Faisal. Faisal Islamic Bank is directly involved in running accounts for bin Laden and his associates + has been named by Luxembourg banking authorities in this regard. (Emphasis added by me.) Is the Raschke article accurate? I do not know. In truth, I have not even seen the orginal piece. URL:

But note that Governor Schwarzenegger has a similar "coincidence" in his family history -- as does our president himself. The Bush family fortune derives, in no small measure, from Prescott Bush's business dealings with Nazis, which continued even after Pearl Harbor.

this older (2003) story from Bob Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman. They discuss the Nazi family ties of several key Republicans -- including Karl Rove:
...Rove's grandfather was Karl Heinz Roverer, the Gauleiter of Oldenburg. Roverer was Reich-Statthalter -- Nazi State Party Chairman -- for his region. He was also a partner and senior engineer in the Roverer Sud-Deutche Ingenieurburo A. 23.Jul.2005 Does Karl Rove have Nazi family ties...? (And more on the current scandal.) You probably already know today's big Rovegate news: A Bloomberg story claims that Rove lied to a Grand Jury about the way he came to know Valerie Wilson's "secret identity." Rove's version of events -- that he learned about Wilson/Plame from reporters -- has been staunchly denied by the reporters themselves.
Murray Waas made much the same point the day before Bloomberg ran the story:
White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove did not disclose that he had ever discussed CIA officer Valerie Plame with Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper during Rove’s first interview with the FBI, according to legal sources with firsthand knowledge of the matter.
The omission by Rove created doubt for federal investigators, almost from the inception of their criminal probe into who leaked Plame's name to columnist Robert Novak, as to whether Rove was withholding crucial information from them + perhaps even misleading or lying to them, the sources said.
Also leading to the early skepticism of Rove's accounts was the claim that although he first heard that Plame worked for the CIA from a journalist, he said could not recall the name of the journalist. Later, the sources said, Rove wavered even further, saying he was not sure at all where he first heard the information ...

It was OSP that originated--some say from whole cloth--much of the intelligence that Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld have used to justify the attack on Iraq, to miss-plan the post-war reconstruction there + then to point an accusing finger at Iran and Syria.....all to the absolute delight of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. 12.Sep.2001 -On the day after the destruction of the World Trade Center-, Rumsfeld + Wolfowitz raised the possibility of an immediate attack on Iraq during an emergency NSC meeting.

The following day, Wolfowitz conducted the Pentagon press briefing + interpreted the President's statement on "ending states who sponsor terrorism" as a call for regime change in Iraq. Israel wasn't mentioned.

00.000.1983 -On the recommendation of Richard Perle, Ledeen was hired at the Department of Defense as a consultant on terrorism. His immediate supervisor was the Principle Assistant Secretary for International Security Affairs, Noel Koch. Early in their work together, Koch noticed with concern Ledeen's habit of stopping by in his (Koch's) outer office to read classified materials. When the two of them took a trip to Italy, Koch learned from the CIA station there that when Ledeen had lived in Rome previously, as correspondent for The New Republic, he'd been carried in Agency files as an agent of influence of a foreign government: Israel.

Some time after their return from the trip, Ledeen approached his boss with a request for his assistance in obtaining two highly classified CIA reports which he said were held by the FBI. He'd hand written on a piece of paper the identifying "alpha numeric designators". These identifiers were as highly classified as the reports themselves....which raised in Koch's mind the question of who had provided them to Ledeen if he hadn't the clearances to obtain them himself.

Koch immediately told his executive assistant that Ledeen was to have no further access to classified materials in the office, and Ledeen just ceased coming to "work". URL: https://www.counterpunch.org/green09032004.html

MEK has been legally designated a terrorist organization since 1997 for killing US citizens, for its role in the 1979 seizure of the US embassy in Tehran + for attacking coalition troops in Iraq. Human Rights Watch recently condemned them for use of torture, bombings and assassinations. Nevertheless, 150 congressmen have petitioned Bush to remove them from the terrorism list + several lawmakers spoke at their 2005 convention in Washington, D.C.

The Israeli Communication Ministry's R.R. Sat provides transponder capability to the MEK to broadcast programming on its two channels. But Corsi has expressed very different opinions on Islam in the past.

According to his own postings on FreeRepublic.com, on 18,Nov.2001 Corsi used a racial slur to define Arabs;

"Ragheads are Boy-Bumpers [sodomizers] as clearly as they are Women Haters—it all goes together."

00.Nov.2002 Corsi said; "They think the liberals will never let out that these two were lovers . . . typical Islamic boy-buggering. Older man with younger man—black Muslims ... "

Using the incendiary style he perfected for 'swiftboat veteran' TV attack ads, Jerome Corsi continued;

"Islam is a peaceful religion as long as the women are beaten, the boys buggered + the infidels killed."

Comparing Islam to a disease, he added; "How's this for an analogy? The Koran is simply the 'software' for producing deviant cancer cell political behavior and violence in human beings" and "Islam is like a virus.

It affects the mind. Maybe even better as an analogy: it is a cancer that destroys the body it infects.

No doctor would hesitate to eliminate cancer cells from the body."

00.Apr.2004 Corsi added; "Let's see why it isn't the case that Islam is a worthless, dangerous, Satanic religion. Where's the proof to the contrary?" URL: https://www.onlinejournal.com/Special_Reports/071905Schuh/071905schuh.html

Dipping two fingers in red paint, Corsi waved a peace sign in solidarity "with the blood of oppressed Iranians" +

called on "the spirit of Mahatma Ghandi + Martin Luther King."

He declared;

"I love the Iranian people.

America does not hate the Persian people.

We love the Persian people.

We want peace and we love the Persian people."

Corsi's voice then dropped to a whisper;

"We stand here today and we pray in the name of the Gods.

I embrace Jesus Christ as my savior—and we also pray in the name of Allah, Zoroaster + the B'hai." URL: https://www.counterpunch.org/green09032004.html

00.000.2002 -In his book- „The War Against the Terror Masters“, in a rare moment of unguarded intellectual honesty, neocon guru Michael Ledeen unwittingly let slip what is probably the best two-word description of the underlying agenda that has been pursued by the neocons over the last several years and is ongoing today: "Creative destruction."

"Creative destruction is our middle name, both within our own society and abroad. We tear down the old order every day, from business to science, literature, art, architecture + cinema to politics and the law.

Our enemies have always hated this whirlwind of energy and creativity, which menaces their traditions (whatever they may be) and shames them for their inability to keep pace. …

They must attack us in order to survive, just as we must destroy them to advance our historic mission."

Given the Bush administration's astoundingly reckless spending habits, the retrospective knowledge of its eagerness to lie the country into the Iraq quagmire + the neocons' enthusiasm for tearing down the old order – "both within our own society and abroad" – is it possible that our current bind is the deliberate result of a policy of destruction?

Is it possible that it is not just the Middle East that the Bush administration, Ledeen + the other neocons want to destroy in order to reconstruct, but America as well?

But why?

Why would our own leadership want to deliberately put our country into a position of vulnerability? URL: URL: https://www.spiritone.com/~gdy52150/1930sap.html

Seattle arrest!

In the past, we've focused on the important research by Paul Lehto (that's L-E-H-T-O...I think ) on electoral shennanigans in the state Laura Palmer called home.

Specifically, Lehto noted a telling pattern: Paper votes matched the exit polls, while touchscreen votes favored Republicans.

He also drew attention to two under-recognized (and perhaps related) oddities:

The mysterious pattern of touchscreen machine repairs + the manufacturer's insistence that power cords be "daisy chained" on Sequoia voting machines.

Data -- such as a virus or a vote-theft program -- can be transferred via power cords.
Lehto focused on Snohomish County. Now we learn some interesting news about King County:
Former King County Elections Superintendent Julie Anne Kempf was booked into jail Tuesday, 19.Jul.2005 on investigation of forgery, theft, criminal impersonation, + assault on a police officer,

Seattle Weekly has learned.
The probe that led to her arrest is related to events that occurred after she left her county job in 00.Dec.2002 ,but it involves recent incidents connected to the elections office.

More to come, I am sure... URL: https://cannonfire.blogspot.com/

22.Jul.2005 More Georgia horrors: Cynthia McKinney has just released documents which, she claims, take "hack the vote" stories completely out of the realm of conspiracy theory.
The first flickers of a problem appeared in the public mind with the election of Gov. Sonny Perdue with an unaccounted for 11 point swing overnight in the voting publics voting preference. Perdue was the first Republican Governor elected in Georgia since the reconstruction.
Georgia's elections have been fraught with massive problems from day one and election officials have hidden the problems from the voters.
Georgia's election officials sought to protect Diebold instead of the voters.
The first document is a list of bugs and failures experienced in Georgia's 2002 election, none of which have been resolved to date, much less in time for the 2004 election.
Mr. Sam Barber of American Computer Technologies, Inc. has filed a federal lawsuit against Diebold. ACT was originally a Minority Owned Business contacted by Diebold to subcontract the Acceptance Testing of the Diebold system. When they discovered Mr. Barber really intended to test the equipment as prescribed by computer science, they threw him off the contract.
What they WANTED Mr. Barber's company to do was assemble the 2 pieces of equipment and CALL it acceptance testing. When he refused, he was dismissed by Diebold in McKinney, TX. Want to judge the documents for yourself?
Be my guest. (And here's the video of McKinney in action.)
And when you're done, take a look at this 2004 portrait of
Cathy Cox, the Georgia Secretary of State who has been called the Poster Girl for Diebold. (Also see here.)

The new law's supporters claim that it is an attempt to reduce voter fraud, but Secretary of State Cathy Cox has said she cannot recall a single case during her tenure when anyone impersonated a voter.
In the same period, she says, there have been numerous allegations of fraud involving absentee ballots. But the Georgia Legislature has passed a law that focuses on voter identification while actually making absentee ballots more prone to misuse. URL:

22.Jul.2005 Supreme Court Nominee John Roberts , working behind the scenes, may have helped Bush win in 2000.

For more info, go to the Dallas Morning New s story here + scroll down until you see the words "Role in 2000 recount."
Although his name did not appear on the briefs, three sources who were personally aware of Judge Roberts' role said he gave Republican Gov. Jeb Bush critical advice on how the Florida Legislature could constitutionally name George W. Bush the winner at a time when Republicans feared that if the recount were to continue the courts might force a different choice. Hmmm...
Georgia on our minds. A new law in
Georgia will forbid the vote to anyone who does not possess government-issued photo identification.

This legislation will severely impact 150,000 seniors in that state who do not possess driver's licenses - not to mention the impact on black people + poor people. URL: https://cannonfire.blogspot.com/

04.Dec.1999 SYDNEY, Australia - Any data seem different on your computer today?

If you're in Australia, the government has the ability to modify your files.

Its cyber spooks have been given legal power not only to monitor private computers around the country, but to change the data they contain.

The new powers are contained in a bill passed by Australia's parliament late last month (the Australian Security Intelligence Organization Legislation Amendment 199.

They now await only the largely ceremonial assent of Australia's governor general before becoming law.

"These are really untested waters," says Chris Connolly, a vocal Australian privacy advocate. "I don't think there's any example anywhere else in the world that's comparable."

Under the new law, Australia's attorney general can authorize legal hacking into private computer systems, as well as copying or altering data, as long as he has reasonable cause to believe it's relevant to a "security matter."

The keyboard spies will come from the Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO), Australia's equivalent of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Catherine Fitzpatrick, spokeswoman for Attorney General Daryl Williams, said the law merely "modernizes" an existing 1979 statute that previously governed ASIO + sorely needed updating.

"This just brings ASIO's powers in line with new technologies," she said.

"It doesn't give them increased powers at all."

For example, the new law bars sleuths from introducing viruses or interfering with data used for lawful purposes on targeted computers, she said.

In addition, the bill limits the power to alter data on a computer to concealing surveillance, she said.

While all this is true, the bill also specifically authorizes -- among other things -- anything that's "reasonably incidental."

And it's broad wording like this -- as well as the weak oversight of the nation's cyber spies -- that have opponents aghast.
"I hate to use the word 'Orwellian,' but I can't think of anything better to describe this," said Greg Taylor, vice chairman of Electronic Frontiers Australia.

"This is another stop down the path of legalized surveillance of all information by authorities," he said.

Er hat nicht nur unter George Bush [BGHW948] I. gedient, sondern auch unter Ronald Reagan;

21.Jul.2005 Why “White House v. Wilson/Plame” Matters by Ray McGovern
The Iraq-Niger lie was thus both the cornerstone of the Bush agenda for war and the key to unraveling how the "fixing" worked. Rove, master of the administration's strategy yet only two years out of Texas, joined by Cheney’s chief of staff I. Lewis (“Scooter”) Libby spread red herrings to divert reporters off the scent and wound up triggering the eventual appointment of a special prosecutor and the convening of a grand jury.

UK politicians thought they could press buttons and make war in the Arab world and remain safe themselves. Now they had a reply. -By Tariq Ali
In the dominant culture of the West there is a deep-seated belief that the lives of Western civilians are somehow worth more than those living in other parts of the world - especially those parts being bombed and occupied by the West.
