Man müsse auch gar nicht gleich das globale Klima angehen, sondern könne die Schiffe auch lokal für gefährdete Regionen wie die Arktis oder Korallenriffe zur Abkühlung einsetzen. Als Nebeneffekt könnte sogar die Zahl und Stärke der Wirbelstürme abnehmen und die für das Leben des Phytoplanktons geeigneten Meeresflächen erweitert werden.

Interessanterweise ist jetzt in einem Blog, in welchem der Sachverhalt diskutiert wurde, der große Bruder von Michael L. White aufgetaucht und behauptet, sein kleiner Bruder lebe in Austin, Texas und arbeite in Kazakhstan und China. Der Pass seines kleinen Bruders sei aber schon 2005 verloren gegangen. Ebenso wie seit einigen Tagen sein kleiner Bruder selbst.

Manche werden sich vielleicht noch an die Geschichte des amerikanischen Piloten eines U2 “Wetterflugzeugs” erinnern. Das Flugzeug wurde damals von den USA als vermisst gemeldet. Bis dann die Russen den über Russland abgeschossenen Piloten des Spionage-Flugzeugs präsentiert haben…

Danke Jens und dem Übersetzer und Blogger Azot! Seit die ARD auch von Speichelleckern überrannt worden ist, und mit einem der letzten aufrechten Journalisten Klaus Bednarz vor Jahren verdammt wurde, gibt es selbst in der ARD keinen mehr, der ein wenig, ein klein wenig Format als Journalist hat. Günther Gaus und Klaus Bednarz waren die besten Journalisten, die es im öffentlichen Fernsehen je gegeben hat. Die Anderen sind nur noch Überreste aus dem Infotainmenttopf.

Erinnert sich noch jemand an 1999, als Klaus Bednarz aus Protest auf dem Überfall auf Yugoslawien die Wehrmachtpropaganda “Bomben auf Belgard” hat laufen lassen?

Welche Personen haben eigentlich genau entschieden, wie dieses Interview gesendet wird, wer oder welche Personen haben hier den Zensor gespielt?

Es kann nicht sein, dass der russische Ministerpräsident Putin ein Interview gibt und irgend jemand in der Chefredaktion den Goebbelszensor spielt, ohne dafür benannt werden zu wollen, und wenn doch, wer hält sich für so wichtig, auf welche Weisung hin?

Der französische Aussenminister war in Nordossetien und hat sich mit Flüchtlingen getroffen. Die Augenzeugen berichten, dass die georgischen Streitkräfte mit Panzern Frauen und Kinder überfahren haben, die Leute in die Häuser getrieben und lebendig verbrannt haben. Georgische Soldaten haben, als sie nach Zchinwali kamen, - so im vorbeigehen Granaten in die Keller und Bunker geworfen, wo Frauen und Kinder sich versteckt hatten. Wie kann man so etwas anders nennen, als Genozid?

That video includes an interview with a lawyer from the National Lawyer's Guild who was detained and put in handcufffs , explaining that the surrounded house is one where various journalists are staying. Additionally, a photojournalist with Democracy Now was detained at that house as well . So, both journalists and lawyers -- in addition to protesters -- have been detained and arrested even though not a single violent or criminal act has occurred .

There is clearly an intent on the part of law enforcement authorities here to engage in extreme and highly intimidating raids against those who are planning to protest the Convention. The DNC in Denver was the site of several quite ugly incidents where law enforcement acted on behalf of Democratic Party officials and the corporate elite that funded the Convention to keep the media and protesters from doing anything remotely off-script. But the massive and plainly excessive preemptive police raids in Minnesota are of a different order altogether. Targeting people with automatic-weapons-carrying SWAT teams and mass raids in their homes, who are suspected of nothing more than planning dissident political protests at a political convention and who have engaged in no illegal activity whatsoever, is about as redolent of the worst tactics of a police state as can be imagined.

Aber egal. Der Punkt ist ja nicht, DASS sie gekürzt haben, sondern WIE sie gekürzt haben. Das russische Fernsehen hat nämlich das gesamte Interview ausgestrahlt. Auf russisch, natürlich. Aaaaaber: auf Youtube gibt es eine fansub Version davon, und es gibt auch ein russisches Transkript, das jemand übersetzt hat. Und in dem übersetzten Transkript sind die Stellen markiert, die die ARD raus gekürzt hat.

So und jetzt guckt euch das mal an. Die rausgekürzten Stellen sind zufällig gerade die, bei denen das Interview (auch der Korrespondent übrigens, nicht nur Putins Antworten!) der im wesentlichen durch die Georgische PR-Maschine bestimmten westlichen Sicht auf den Konflikt widerspricht.

Sehr bedauerlich, dass die ARD, die sich ja für keine Kritik an der chinesischen Zensur zu schade war, zu solchen Methoden greift. Nur mal als Ausschnitt dessen, was die da weggekürzt haben, damit ihr ein Gefühl dafür kriegt:
